+is normally not launched by users. It is the port server used by the Ivy daemon

+and its clients to know which port they should use to communicate.

+is either launched by

+or at boot time (or manually). The latter option is 
+used in the Linux distributions of the Ivy daemon.

+.SH LAUNCHING FROM INETD
+If you want

+to be launched by

+Launch at boot time is the default option in the Linux packages, which come with 
+the appropriate command file to add to the boot sequence.
